Prospect News reports seven new defaults for Sept. 28-Oct. 4

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 6 – Prospect News reported seven new defaults for Sept. 28 through Oct. 4.

Specifically, Prospect News reported Chapter 11 filings made by Capstone Green Energy Corp., Infinity Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Roman Catholic Archbishop of Baltimore, SmileDirectClub Inc., Epworth Villa (Central Oklahoma United Methodist Retirement Facility, Inc.) and Zymergen Inc., and missed interest payments on five series of WeWork Inc.’s notes.

So far in 2023, Prospect News has reported 205 defaults, including 135 Chapter 11 filings; 28 missed interest payments; 12 missed principal and interest payments; seven Chapter 15 filings; six CCAA filings; three missed principal payments; two each of liquidations, conciliations, Chapter 7 filings, missed interest payments paid within a grace period and recapitalizations; and one each of bankruptcies, reorganizations, judicial reorganizations and schemes of arrangement.

The companies that filed Chapter 11 during the week reported at least $835.23 million in assets and at least $1.82 billion in liabilities collectively.
