New Issue: BBVA Mexico sells $500 million 1 7/8% five-year senior notes

Chicago, Oct. 7 – BBVA Bancomer, SA, Institucion de Banca Multiple, Grupo Financiero BBVA Bancomer (BBVA Mexico) sold $500 million of five-year senior global notes with a 1 7/8% coupon (Baa1//BBB), according to a notice on the Bolsa Institucional de Valores.

The notes were issued under the bank’s $10 billion program.

The issue was more than 6x oversubscribed.

BBVA Mexico is the largest financial institution in the country.
