Bank of Georgia unit signs $100 million 11-year loan with DFC

By Marisa Wong

Los Angeles, Nov. 30 – Bank of Georgia Group plc announced that subsidiary JSC Bank of Georgia and the U.S. International Development Finance Corp. (DFC) have signed a $100 million loan agreement with a maturity of over 11 years.

The facility will enable Bank of Georgia to on-lend to micro-, small- and medium-sized business customers to minimize the impact of Covid-19 pandemic-related economic implications in Georgia, including expanding access to finance and increasing the bank’s support to female-led enterprises.

The bank has headquarters in London and operations mainly in Georgia and Belarus.
