S&P assigns Buenos Aires bond CCC+

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its CCC+ long-term issue-level rating to the Province of Buenos Aires' proposed, up to $500 million senior unsecured bond.

The bond will rank pari passu with the province's other financial obligations and proceeds will be used to finance social programs, infrastructure projects, improve its amortization profile and pay back past due treasury debt.
