Rubie’s Costume reports $953,000 loss from operations for May

Pittsburgh, July 20 – Rubie’s Costume Co., Inc. reported a $953,000 loss from operations for May on $4.44 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.
The net loss for the month was $3 million.
The company listed $10.35 million in cash and cash equivalents as of May 31.
Melville, N.Y.-based Rubie’s designs, manufactures and distributes Halloween costumes and accessories. The company filed bankruptcy on April 30 under Chapter 11 case number 20-71970.
