Moody's revises Malaysia Airports view to negative

Moody's Investors Service has revised the outlook on Malaysia Airport Holdings Bhd.'s rating to negative from stable. At the same time, Moody's affirmed the company's A3 issuer rating.

"The change in outlook to negative reflects our expectation of a sharp decline in passenger and aircraft traffic volumes at MAHB's airports in the coming months as a result of the worsening coronavirus outbreak, and a consequent decline in MAHB's credit metrics over the next 12-18 months," said Spencer Ng, a Moody's vice president and senior analyst, in a press release.
