S&P revises Yorkshire Water view to stable

S&P said it revised Yorkshire Water Services’ outlook to stable from negative and affirmed its debt ratings.

The agency cited the positive redetermination by the Competition and Markets Authority, which regulates Yorkshire, for the change in outlook.

“The positive CMA redetermination will ensure that YWS' credit metrics remain above existing targets during AMP7. We consider the outcome of the redetermination of YWS' business plan for AMP7 (April 2020 to March 2025) by the CMA published on March 17 as a positive development for appealing water companies,” S&P said in a press release.
