Former FTD eyes subsidiary case closures; Dec. 30 emergence expected

Pittsburgh, Dec. 24 – GUE Liquidation Cos., Inc., formerly FTD, Inc., is asking the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to close the Chapter 11 cases of several of its subsidiaries, according to a motion filed Monday.
Specifically, the company is asking the court to close the cases of subsidiary debtors Bloom That, Inc., GUE Liquidation Delivery, Inc., FlowerFarm, Inc., FSC Denver LLC, FSC Phoenix LLC, GUE Liquidation, Inc., GUE Liquidation.CA, Inc., GUE Liquidation.COM, Inc., GUE Liquidation Group, Inc., GUE Liquidation Mobile, Inc., GUE Liquidation Giftco, LLC, Provide Cards, Inc., GUE Liquidation Commerce LLC and GUE Liquidation Creations, Inc.
According to the motion, GUE expects the plan of liquidation confirmed by the court on Dec. 19 to take effect on Dec. 30.
The company said all estate assets will be transferred to liquidation trusts on the plan effective date, and the debtors’ members, directors, managers and officers and any remaining employees will be deemed to have resigned and the debtors dissolved.
The Chapter 11 case of the GUE Liquidation Cos., Inc. debtor will remain open to allow the liquidation trustees to finalize the process of resolving any contested matters and reconcile, object to and resolve claims, as applicable.
A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 13.
FTD is a floral wire service based in Downers Grove, Ill. The company filed bankruptcy on June 3, 2019 under Chapter 11 case number 19-11240.
