MMI Investments offers to help evaluate alternatives for Brink's

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 12 - Brink's Co. investor MMI Investments, LP reached out to the Monitor Group, offering the consulting firm assistance in the evaluating strategic alternatives for the company.

MMI believes Monitor Group could benefit from its experience and insights into the company.

Specifically, the shareholder said it has "spent extensive time and effort scrutinizing Brink's chronic undervaluation and attempting to unlock the company's significant intrinsic value through the encouragement of strategic alternatives."

MMI's letter to Monitor Group was included in a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

MMI beneficially owns 4,065,200 shares, or 8.4%, of the Richmond, Va., transportation and cash logistics services company.
