Cyrte continues investment in Brasil Telecom Participacoes

Charlotte, N.C., March 5 - Investors led by Cyrte Investments BV bought 447,839 shares of Brasil Telecom Participacoes SA between Jan. 20 and March 2 priced from $29.52 to $35.14 each, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Cyrte beneficially owns 3,514,776 American Depositary Shares each representing 5,000 preferred shares of the Brasilia-based telecommunications company.
