E-House still working on restructuring, expects to be in talks with noteholders by March

By Marisa Wong

Los Angeles, Feb. 3 – E-House (China) Enterprise Holdings Ltd. issued an update related to its restructuring in an announcement on Friday.

As of Feb. 3, the company has not been able to complete its restructuring in accordance with the scheme that went into effect on Nov. 9. As a result, the restructuring effective date did not occur on Dec. 14 as scheduled.

The company said it is in discussions with its advisers with the intention to form a restructuring plan that takes into consideration the positions of all stakeholders.

The company expects to pursue by the end of March a “transparent dialogue” with holders of its existing notes and its other financial creditors to identify and implement a consensual resolution.
