Bombay posts $8.38 million January net loss

Pittsburgh, April 3 - The Bombay Co. Inc. reported an $8.38 million net loss for January on $14.36 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In comparison, the company posted a $7.72 million net loss in December and an $8.11 million November net profit.

Bombay recorded $83.11 million in December revenues and $61.68 million in November revenues.

Cash and cash equivalents on Jan. 31 were $13.88 million, compared to $29.65 million at the end of December and $34.67 million at the end of November.

Bombay, a Fort Worth, Texas-based designer, importer and marketer of proprietary home furnishings, filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 20, 2007. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-44084.
