Moody's rates BRK Ambiental Ba2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Ba2 global scale corporate family rating and Aa3.br corporate family rating on the Brazilian national scale to BRK Ambiental Participacoes SA.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflects the company's solid business profile supported by well-diversified customer base and long term contracts, low demand elasticity and contractual arrangements, Moody's said.

The ratings also consider BRK Ambiental's weak credit metrics as shown in its net debt-to- EBITDA ratio of 5.2x at year-end 2017, the agency said.

The ratings also take into account an expectation that BRK Ambiental's ultimate controlling sponsor, Brookfield Asset Management Inc., will contribute positively to the implementation of the company's cost saving strategy through shared services and optimization of the company's debt structure, Moody's added.
