BlackRock Enhanced Equity trust to absorb two equity dividend funds

Chicago, Sept. 12 - BlackRock Advisors, LLC said the BlackRock Equity Dividend Trust and the BlackRock Strategic Equity Dividend Trust will be reorganized into the BlackRock Enhanced Equity Dividend Trust, which will be the surviving fund.

The reorganization of the funds was approved by the boards of trustees of each of the funds and will be completed in the first quarter of next year, according to a press release by New York-based BlackRock Closed-End Funds.
