Westinghouse sees $2 million of income from operations in December

Pittsburgh, Jan. 31 – Westinghouse Electric Co., LLC reported $2 million of income from operations for December on $160 million in net revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In comparison, Westinghouse posted $5 million of income from operations for November on $186 million in net revenue.

Net income for December was $19 million, improving from a $5 million November net loss.

The company had $799 million in cash and cash equivalents as of Dec. 31, down from $1,083,000,000 at the end of November.

Westinghouse, a Cranberry Township, Pa.-based nuclear products and services company and a subsidiary of Toshiba, filed bankruptcy on March 29, 2017. The Chapter 11 case number is 17-10751.
