Sunshine Bancorp negotiates $12.18 million private placement of stock

Company sells 875,000 common shares at $13.92 apiece through offering

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 2 – Sunshine Bancorp, Inc. arranged a $12.18 million private placement of stock on Dec. 2, according to an 8-K filed Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company will sell 875,000 common shares at $13.92 apiece on a best-efforts basis. The price per share is a 1.61% premium to the Dec. 1 closing share price of $13.70.

Settlement is expected Dec. 4.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The savings and loan holding company is based in Plant City, Fla.
