Beacon Power shareholder Quercus Trust reduces ownership interest to 1.6%

Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 21 - Quercus Trust sold 1,293,327 shares of Beacon Power Corp. between Jan. 7 and Jan. 16 at prices from $0.36 to $0.51 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investor also transferred to Beacon Power for $100 the right to cancel warrants to purchase up to 5,884,455 shares of the company's common stock.

Between Dec. 12 and Jan. 6, Quercus sold 1,832,354 shares of Beacon Power at prices from $0.52 to $0.67 each, a prior SEC filing said.

Quercus owns 1,712,794 shares, or 1.6%, of the Wilmington, Mass.-based company's common stock.

Beacon Power develops products and services to support electricity grid operation.
