Great Lakes Advisors names Daniel Nielsen as managing director

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 10 – Great Lakes Advisors announced that Daniel P. Nielsen has joined the company as a managing director.

Before joining Great Lakes, Nielsen led the Catholic responsible investing practice at Christian Brothers Investment Services, according to a news release.

He was previously the manager of socially responsible investing at the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits of the United Methodist Church.

Nielsen holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. with honors from the University of Maryland.

Chicago-based Great Lakes Advisors is a value-oriented manager providing customized investment solutions to religious institutions, endowments and foundations, family offices, and private clients.
