Luca International Chapter 11 case declared administratively closed

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Jan. 9 – Luca International Group LLC’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case has been “administratively closed,” according to an order filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

The order specifies that all pending lawsuits related to the closed cases will remain open pending further court order.

Liquidating trustee Randy W. Williams said in his case closure motion filed on Dec. 13 that the company’s first amended joint plan of reorganization was confirmed on July 18, 2016, and “all pending contested matters are resolved.”

Luca International Group, a Houston-based explorer and producer of natural gas, petroleum and related hydrocarbons, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 6, 2015. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-34221.
