Moody’s: Aeroportuario del Pacifico to positive

Moody’s Investors Service said it affirmed Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB de CV’s global scale issuer and debt ratings at Baa1 and Aaa.mx on the Mexico national scale.

The agency also said it revised the company’s outlook to positive from stable.

The outlook revision reflects a view that the company’s strong passenger performance and very solid financial position will continue in the coming years, Moody’s said.

Despite a capital investment program for the period 2015 through 2019, which will be mainly financed with debt, the company’s financial metrics will remain strong generating upward pressure on the ratings, the agency explained.

The outlook change is supported by the company’s very strong financial position, which is underpinned by the traffic performance and its strategy to boost commercial revenues, Moody’s said.

The company saw solid operating margins and its current physical infrastructure will allow them to absorb demand increases with a modest capital expenditure program, the agency added.
