S&P affirms State Grid International

S&P said it affirmed its A long-term issuer credit rating on State Grid International Development Ltd. (SGID). The outlook is stable.

At the same time, S&P also affirmed its A long-term issue rating on the outstanding euro-denominated notes that SGID guarantees. SGID is the primary investment platform for international expansion under State Grid Corp. of China (SGCC: A+/stable/--), China's largest power grid operator.

“We affirmed the ratings because we expect SGID to remain disciplined with future investments and expansion in high-risk countries. We also expect the company's weighted average exposure to countries with lower foreign-currency ratings to remain steady over the next two to three years,” S&P said in a news release.
