Investor Philippe Laffont cuts stake to 4.9% in Bankrate

Philadelphia, Feb. 9 - Investor Philippe Laffont slashed his investment to 4.9% in Bankrate, Inc. as of Dec. 31, according to an SC 13G/A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

That represents a passive stake of 926,716 shares.

Those holdings are down from the passive stake of 7.6%, or 1,392,971 shares, that the investor reported owning on Dec. 31, 2007, according to another SC 13G/A filing.

Bankrate is a North Palm Beach, Fla., online consumer banking and personal finance network.
