New Issue: BMO sells HK$529 million of 3.92% seven-year contingent convertibles

Knoxville, Tenn., May 5 – Bank of Montreal issued HK$529 million 3.92% senior contingent convertible notes due 2029 at 100.151984877 on Wednesday, according to a prospectus.

The securities are being issued under the company’s $20 billion program for issuing notes.

The notes are subject to conversion, in whole or in part, in one or more transactions into common shares of Bank of Montreal or one of its affiliates.

The issuer is a Montreal-based bank.
