Moody's ups Indonesia banks view to positive

Moody's Investors Service said it revised the outlook of 10 Indonesian banks for their foreign-currency long-term debt and deposit ratings to positive from stable.

The not-prime short-term deposit and bank financial strength ratings of all 10 banks are unaffected. The subordinated debt ratings of the three state-owned banks - Bank Mandiri, Bank Negara Indonesia and Bank Rakyat Indonesia - are unaffected.

This action follows the change in Indonesia's sovereign outlook to positive from stable. The revision affected the foreign-currency and local-currency government bond of B1, the foreign-currency deposit of B2 and the foreign-currency country ceiling of Ba3.

Bank Danamon Indonesia has a subordinated debt rating of Ba3 and foreign-currency long- and short-term deposit ratings of B2/not-prime and bank financial strength rating of D-.

Bank Internasional Indonesia has issuer/subordinated debt ratings of Ba3/Ba3, foreign-currency long- and short-term deposit rating of B2/not-prime and bank financial strength rating of E+.

Bank Lippo has issuer/subordinated debt ratings of Ba3/Ba3, foreign-currency long- and short-term deposit rating of B2/not-prime and bank financial strength rating of D-.

Bank Mandiri has senior/subordinated debt ratings of Ba3/Ba3 and foreign-currency long- and short-term deposit ratings of B2/not-prime and bank financial strength rating of E+.

Bank Negara Indonesia has senior/subordinated debt ratings of Ba3/Ba3 and foreign-currency long- and short-term deposit ratings of B2/not-prime and bank financial strength rating of E.

Bank Niaga has issuer/subordinated debt ratings of Ba3/Ba3 and foreign-currency long- and short-term deposit ratings of B2/not-prime and bank financial strength rating of E+.

Bank Permata has foreign-currency long- and short-term deposit ratings of B2/not-prime and a bank financial strength rating of E+.

Bank Rakyat Indonesia has a subordinated debt rating of Ba3, foreign-currency long- and short-term deposit ratings of B2/not-prime and bank financial strength rating of D-.

Bank Tabungan Negara has foreign-currency long- and short-term deposit ratings of B2/not-prime and bank financial strength rating of E.

Pan Indonesia Bank has foreign-currency long- and short-term deposit ratings of B2/not-prime and bank financial strength rating of D-.
