WebMD to offer to buy back up to 10% of its common stock next week

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 3 - WebMD Health Corp. said it plans to begin a tender offer next week to purchase up to 10%, or 5,700,000 shares, of its common stock for $36.00 per share.

The company's stock closed at $34.18 (Nasdaq: WBMD) on Monday.

WebMD will use a portion of its cash and investments to fund the offer.

New York-based WebMD provides health information services through its online portals and publications.
