Wasatch uses MSCI EFM IMI Index to define emerging markets countries

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, April 5 - Wasatch Funds Trust redefined its description of emerging market countries in the prospectuses for some of its funds.

The new definition affects the Wasatch Emerging Markets Small Cap Fund, Wasatch Global Opportunities Fund, Wasatch International Growth Fund and Wasatch International Opportunities Fund.

Emerging market countries are those currently included in the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Emerging + Frontier Markets (EFM) IMI Index.

Previously, the funds defined emerging market countries as those included in the MSCI World Index.

Salt Lake City-based Wasatch Advisors, Inc. serves as investment adviser to the funds.
