VMware investor Intel sells 2.36 million shares

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 12 - Intel Corp. sold 2,356,524 shares of VMware, Inc. common stock between Nov. 4 and Dec. 12, according to an amended schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In a prior SEC filing, Intel reported that other than its previously disclosed plan to sell up to 3.75 million shares of common stock, the company does not have any other plans or proposals relating to the common stock.

Intel beneficially owns approximately 6.14 million shares, or 6.9%, of the Palo Alto, Calif., virtualization solutions provider.
