Van Kampen Series 1195 registers Select 10 Industrial Portfolio units

By Tali David

Minneapolis, Feb. 14 - Van Kampen Unit Trusts, Series 1195 has registered units of its Insured Municipals Income Trust, Series 642, according to an S-6 amendment with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Houston-based Van Kampen Funds Inc.

The portfolio will seek above-average total return by investing in a portfolio of stocks. The portfolio will follow one investment strategy: Buy the 10 highest dividend-yielding stocks in the Dow Jones Industrial Average and hold them for about one year.

The units will each have a public offering price of $10. Each unit will have a maximum sales charge of 2.95%, consisting of a 1% initial sales charge, a 1.45% deferred sales charge and a 0.5% creation and development fee. The fee may be reduced on a sliding scale to 1.2% depending on the amount of investment.

The trust will have an inception date in March.
