Van Kampen's Series 1180 selects portfolio from 'Stocks for 2015' list

San Diego, Dec. 14 - Van Kampen Unit Trusts, Series 1180 has completed its initial registration in an S-6 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Houston-based Van Kampen Funds Inc.

The trust will seek long-term capital appreciation by investing in a portfolio primarily consisting of stocks of foreign and domestic companies that have been selected from the "Stocks for 2015" list published by Morgan Stanley Research.

The units will have a maximum sales charge of 4.5%, consisting of a 1% initial sales charge, a 3% deferred sales charge and a 0.5% creation and development fee. The fee may be reduced on a sliding scale to 2.9% depending on the amount of the investment.

The trust's inception date will be this month, with the mandatory termination date in 2015.
