Van Kampen Unit Trusts, series 1169 registers units

San Diego, Oct. 20 - Van Kampen Unit Trusts, series 1169 has registered units of its series 10 Conservative Income Allocation Portfolio, according to an S-6 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Houston-based Van Kampen Funds Inc.

The trust seeks to provide a high level of current income by investing in a portfolio of closed-end investment companies and exchange-traded funds that invest in various investment-grade and/or short-duration fixed-income securities.

Each $10.00 unit will have a maximum sales charge of 3% consisting of a 1% initial sales charge, a 1.5% deferred sales charge and a 0.5% creation and development fee. The sales charge can decrease to 2.4% on a sliding scale based on the amount of the investment.

The mandatory termination date will be in 2017.
