Van Kampen Series 1199 offers three separate portfolios

Minneapolis, March 8 - Van Kampen Unit Trusts, Series 1199 is offering units of its Global Infrastructure Strategy 2012-2, Global Agriculture Portfolio 2012-2 and Global Water Portfolio 2012-2, according to an S-6 amendment filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Houston-based Van Kampen Funds Inc.

The Global Infrastructure Strategy seeks above-average total return by investing in a portfolio primarily consisting of stocks and other equity securities of foreign and domestic companies diversified in various areas of global infrastructure. The portfolio was selected by Cohen & Steers Capital Management Inc.

On the initial date of deposit, March 8, $165,063 in contracts to purchase securities comprises the trust. The 16,674 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.555. The estimated net annual income is $0.26342 per unit.

The Global Agriculture Portfolio seeks above-average capital appreciation by investing in a portfolio of 28 stocks from the S-Network Agriculture Index as of the close of business on Feb. 27.

On the initial date of deposit, March 8, $313,218 in contracts to purchase securities comprises the trust. The 31,639 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.555.

The Global Water Portfolio seeks capital appreciation by investing in a portfolio of 25 stocks derived from the S-Network Water Index as of the close of business on Feb. 27.

On the initial date of deposit, March 8, $302,506 in contracts to purchase securities comprises the trust. The 30,557 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.555. The estimated net annual income is $0.13765 per unit.

The units each carry a maximum sales charge of 3.95%, consisting of a 1% initial sales charge, a 2.45% deferred sales charge and a 0.5% creation and development fee. The sales charge may be reduced on a sliding scale to 2.45% depending on the amount of the investment.

The trusts have a mandatory termination date of March 6, 2014.
