Van Kampen Municipal 1201 registers Dow Jones Total Market, Enhanced Index Strategy units

Minneapolis, Feb. 15 - Van Kampen Unit Trusts, Municipal Series 1201 registered units of its The Dow Jones Total Market Portfolio, Enhanced Index Strategy 2012-2 and Enhanced Sector Strategy, Sector Rotation Portfolio 2012-2, according to an S-6 amendment with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Houston-based Van Kampen Funds Inc.

The Dow Jones Total Market portfolio will seek above-average capital appreciation by investing in stocks of domestic companies that are selected by applying ten separate sector strategies: the Basic Materials Strategy, the Consumer Goods Strategy, the Consumer Services Strategy, the Energy Strategy, the Financials Strategy, the Health Care Strategy, the Industrials Strategy, the Technology Strategy, the Telecommunications Strategy and the Utilities Strategy.

The Enhanced Sector Strategy, Sector Rotation Portfolio will seek above-average capital appreciation by investing in stocks selected by applying three of the above sector strategies.

The units will each have a public offering price of $10. Each unit will have a maximum sales charge of 2.95%, consisting of a 1% initial sales charge, a 1.45% deferred sales charge and a 0.5% creation and development fee. The fee may be reduced on a sliding scale to 1.2% depending on the amount of investment.

The trust will have an inception date in March.
