Van Kampen Series 1184 offers S&P Dividend Sustainability units

San Diego, Jan. 23 - Van Kampen Unit Trusts, Series 1184 is offering units of its S&P Dividend Sustainability Portfolio 2012-1, according to an S-6 amendment filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Houston-based Van Kampen Funds Inc.

The trust seeks above-average capital appreciation by investing in a portfolio of stocks derived from the S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Index, which consists of stocks of companies in the S&P 500 index that have increased their actual dividend payments in each of the last 25 years.

On the initial date of deposit, Jan. 23, $148,952 in contracts to purchase securities comprised the trust. The 15,046 units have an offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.587 each. The estimated net annual income is $0.22614 per unit.

Each unit will have a maximum sales charge of 3.95%, consisting of a 1% initial sales charge, a 2.45% deferred sales charge and a 0.5% creation and development fee. The sales charge may be reduced to 2.45% depending on the amount of investment.

The trust has a mandatory termination date of Jan. 21, 2014.
