Rydex's U.S. Government Money Market Fund narrows share classes to one

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, March 7 - Rydex Series Funds announced that its U.S. Government Money Market Fund will no longer offer A class, C class, investor class, advisor class and investor 2 class shares, effective May 4.

According to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, all outstanding shares of the fund will be converted to money market class shares, the fund's new share class.

The money market shares will have no distribution and shareholder service (12b-1) fees, sales charges, initial investment minimum or minimum balance requirements. The money market class shares have unlimited exchange privileges with no minimum holding periods or transaction fees and may be exchanged for any share class of any other fund in the Rydex/SGI family of funds, subject to the purchaser's eligibility for the applicable share class.

Rockville, Md.-based Security Investors, LLC serves as the investment adviser to the fund.
