Shareholder declines seat on board of Universal Power Group

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., June 27 - Universal Power Group, Inc.'s board of directors said it is "actively considering" shareholder recommendations following a meeting with the company's second-largest shareholder 3V Capital Management LLC.

The board invited 3V Capital's managing director David D.R. Bullock to become a director. Bullock declined the opportunity, however, citing his confidence in Universal Power's board, according to a company news release.

Universal Power provides third-party logistics and supply chain management services, as well as batteries, security products and related portable power products to various industries. The company is based in Carrollton, Texas.
