United Kingdom appoints syndicate to reopen green Gilt securities
Chicago, Sept. 9 – The United Kingdom is planning to reopen its 1.5% green Gilt securities due 2053, according to a market source.
Joint bookrunners for the offer will be Barclays, BNP Paribas, HSBC, J.P. Morgan and UBS Investment Bank.
All other wholesale Gilt-edge Market Makers are being invited as co-lead managers.
This will be the third syndicated transaction by the U.K. Debt Management Office in 2022-2023.
