Investor William Sams ups stake to 6.93% in yarn-maker Unifi

Philadelphia, Jan. 27 - Investor William M. Sams increased his investment to 6.93% in Unifi, Inc. as of Dec. 31, according to an SC 13G/A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

That represents a passive stake of 4.30 million shares.

Those holdings are up from the passive stake of 5.48%, or 3.32 million shares, the investor reported owning on Dec. 31, 2007, according to another SC 13G/A filling.

Unifi is a Greensboro, N.C., make of polyester and nylon yarns.
