Sun-Times names Graham Savage director

Chicago, Jan. 30 - Sun-Times Media Group, Inc. said the company's board of directors elected Graham W. Savage as a director.

Savage was a director for the company from July 24, 2003 to Jan. 16 and was a member of its special committee that investigated and resolved a number of the company's legal issues, according to a company news release.

He also was chairman of the company's audit committee from Jan. 31, 2006 to Jan. 16.

Savage worked for 21 years at Rogers Communications Inc. based in Toronto, including seven years as its chief financial officer.

He is chairman of Callisto Capital LP, a merchant banking firm based in Toronto. He also is a director and chairman of the audit committees for both Canadian Tire Corp., Ltd. and Cott Corp.

Savage also has been a member of many other boards of directors.

Sun-Times Media is a Chicago newspaper company.
