T-Mobile, SunCom Wireless merger on track to close in February

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 11 - The Federal Communications Commission granted its approval in the proposed merger of T -Mobile USA, Inc. and SunCom Wireless Holdings, Inc.

With all required regulatory approvals now completed, T-Mobile and SunCom expect to close the transaction by the end of February, it was announced on Monday.

SunCom's stockholders have already approved the merger.

T-Mobile agreed to acquire all of the outstanding shares of common stock of SunCom for $27 per share in cash in a deal valued at some $2.4 billion including debt.

SunCom is a digital wireless communications services company based in Berwyn, Pa.

T-Mobile is a Bellevue, Wash., mobile communications company.
