Sterne Agee announces list of new staff for its London office

By Tali Rackner

Norfolk, Va., Oct. 6 – Sterne Agee announced new staff in its London office, the company’s first international location. Sterne Agee established an overseas presence in late 2013 with its acquisition of London-based brokerage firm Yorvik Partners LLP, according to a press release.

Senior managing director Eric Dusansky will manage the London office as well as its equity division. Dusansky relocated from New York, where he helped to establish Sterne Agee’s presence after joining the company in 2007. He previously worked with Oppenheimer & Co.

High-yield trader Greg Croll will take the helm of Sterne Agee’s fixed-income business in London. He joins from the London office of Imperial Capital and has more than two decades of experience in global high yield and special situations.

The team is also welcoming Aneta McGuinness, a senior salesperson who came to Sterne Agee from UBS Investment Bank and will work on the fixed-income sales team; Phil Wing, a trader who will work in the equity division; Jeff Cope, a credit analyst from New York, who will work in the fixed-income division under Victoria Hart, the head of credit research in London; and Simon Gilbert, a research salesman, who will work in the equity division.

With much of the leadership team in place and the initial transition period completed, Yorvik founding partner Simon Mullaly will retire.

Sterne Agee is a privately owned investment banking firm based in Birmingham, Ala.
