ValueAct buys more shares of Steinway

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 26 - ValueAct SmallCap Master Fund, LP upped its stake in Steinway Musical Instruments, Inc. to 10.5% from 9.1% with the purchase of 107,357 additional shares of the company's stock.

The shares were purchased between Nov. 9 and Nov. 20 and priced from $28.16 to $28.80 each, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Steinway is a Waltham, Mass., musical instrument manufacturer.
