Former Stant Parent's plan accepted by majority of voting creditors

Pittsburgh, Dec. 7 - SPC Seller, Inc.'s plan of reorganization was accepted by a majority of voting creditors, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, 36 holders, or 85.71% in number, of $362,426, or 97.79% in amount, of general unsecured claims voted to accept the plan, while six holders, or 14.29% in number, of $8,180, or 2.21% in amount, of these claims voted to reject it.

The plan confirmation hearing is scheduled for Thursday.

SPC Seller was formerly Stant Parent Corp., a Connersville, Ind.-based automotive fuel system and gas cap manufacturer. The company filed for bankruptcy on July 27, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-12647.
