S&P rates Spartanburg Regional Health Services, S.C., bonds A+

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an A+ standard long-term rating to Spartanburg Regional Health Services District Inc., S.C.'s $48.8 million series 2008A fixed-rate bonds and $27.9 million series 2008D refunding bonds.

At the same time, the agency assigned its A+ underlying rating to the issuer's $90.9 million series 2008B variable-rate revenue and refunding bonds and $19.9 million series 2008C variable-rate refunding bonds.

The outlook is stable.

All the bonds are insured by Assured Guaranty, and liquidity support for the series 2008B and 2008C bonds will be provided through a standby bond purchase agreement from Bank of America NA.
