Marlin Sams buys more than 2.6 million shares of SourceForge

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 8 - SourceForge, Inc. investors led by Marlin Sams Fund LP bought 2,660,000 million shares of the company's stock from Sept. 4 through Sept. 8 priced from $1.35 to $1.48 each, it was reported in a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investors boosted their stake in the company to 12.0%, from 8.1% on Sept. 3 and from 6.4% on June 18.

In a prior SEC filing, the investors said they may engage in communications with fellow stockholders, SourceForge management or board members about the company's operations.

William M. Sams beneficially owns 8.2 million shares of the Mountain View, Calif.-based company's outstanding stock.

SourceForge owns and operates a network of media web sites serving IT professionals.
