Schering-Plough rated peer perform by Bear Stearns

Schering-Plough Corp. was reiterated at a peer perform rating by Bear Stearns analyst John Boris. Bear Stearns maintained its 2006 earnings-per-share estimate of $0.50 and lowered its 2007 estimate to $0.70 from $0.71. The analyst expects the company to be transaction orientated in 2006, as it looks to leverage its U.S. infrastructure. Shares of the Kenilworth, N.J., pharmaceutical company were down 42 cents, or 2.15%, at $19.15 on volume of 10,914,000 shares versus the three-month running average of 7,141,820 shares. (NYSE: SGP)
