Shamrock's stake in NuCO2 dips to 5.98%

Charlotte, N.C., May 12 - NuCO2, Inc. investors led by Shamrock Activist Value Fund LP decreased their ownership interest in the company to 5.98% from 7.30% through the sale of 160,000 shares of the company's stock for a total of $4.63 million, or an average of $28.91 per share.

The shares were sold from May 5 through May 8, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Shamrock beneficially owns 886,286 shares of the Stuart, Fla., bulk carbon dioxide supplier's common stock.

On Jan. 30, NuCO2 agreed to be acquired by an affiliate of Aurora Capital Group for $30.00 cash per share, or some $487 million.

NuCO2 shareholders approved the merger on May 8.
