Fitch rates Nomura notes A-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A- rating to Nomura Bank International plc's €70 million senior unsecured notes, which are a drawdown from its $3.7 billion medium-term note program.

The senior unsecured notes are guaranteed by Nomura Holdings, Inc., Fitch said.

The notes will constitute the direct, unconditional, unsubordinated and unsecured obligations of Nomura Bank, the agency said, and rank pari passu with all other unsecured and unsubordinated obligations.

The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, Fitch said.

The rating is aligned with the long-term issuer default ratings of Nomura Holdings as it unconditionally and irrevocably guarantees payment of principal, interest and all other amounts on the notes, the agency said.
