Moody's: Nippon bonds A3

Moody's Japan KK said it assigned an A3 rating to the domestic bonds issued by Nippon Steel Corp.

The outlook is negative.

This is a takedown from the company's ¥300 billion domestic shelf registration, which is rated provisional A3.

Moody's said the rating is supported by Nippon Steel's significant market position in high-grade steel products and its advanced technological expertise.
