AXA's MultiManager Core Bond, Multi-Sector Bond teams add Jayakumar

San Diego, Jan. 23 - AXA Premier VIP Trust announced in a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it has appointed Mahesh Jayakumar as a portfolio manager of the MultiManager Core Bond Portfolio and the MultiManager Multi-Sector Bond Portfolio.

Jayakumar joins Michael Brunell in managing the portion of the portfolio allotted to SSgA Funds Management, Inc., one of the funds' subadvisers. Jayakumar has been employed by SSgA since 2008. He is a principal with the firm and a portfolio manager in the Beta and Government Solutions team in global fixed income. Prior to State Street, he worked as a software development manager in the research and development division of a large enterprise software provider.

John Kirby is no longer a portfolio manager of the funds.

The funds' investment manager is New York-based AXA Equitable Funds Management Group, LLC.
