Micrus Endovascular expects $12.5 million-$12.7 million in revenues for fiscal first quarter

Tampa, Fla., July 6 - Micrus Endovascular Corp. announced that it expects to report record quarterly revenues for the three months ended June 30.

Revenues for the first quarter of fiscal 2007 are expected to be between $12.5 million and $12.7 million, representing an increase of 76% to 79% compared with revenues of $7.1 million reported for the first quarter of fiscal 2006.

The anticipated revenue increase for the first quarter of fiscal 2007 includes higher sales of the company's core microcoil products and $2.2 million in sales to the company's distributor in Japan.

Micrus said it will report full financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2007 in early August.

Micrus Endovascular, located in San Jose, Calif., develops implantable and disposable medical devices used in the treatment of cerebral vascular diseases.
